I am a retired teacher having held several senior posts before retirement and then worked, briefly, as a National Strategy Consultant and for one of the headteacher professional associations. I am the current Chair of Worcester Diocese Board of Education and Worcester Diocese Academies Trust. I am also a Director of another Trust and have been a member of the governing board of Holyoakes Field First School for many years. I am a member of a local choir and golf club and a volunteer with the National Trust.

I have lived in Redditch since 1977 and worked as a teacher in several Birmingham schools retiring in 2009 as Associate Headteacher of a school in South Birmingham.
I am a Magistrate in the Birmingham Criminal Courts, and also work as a General Adviser with Citizens’ Advice.
I have been a member of the Governing Body of Redditch schools for over 23 years. Initially a Parent Governor at Bridley Moor, I transferred to Trinity after the Redditch Reorganisation and when my daughter joined Trinity’s Sixth Form. I served as Chair of Governors, standing down after 10 years. I have continued as a governor and, now, a Trustee of the MAT.
I am comfortable with all aspects of school governance. As the Link Governor for Safeguarding, both for Trinity and the Trust, I have a responsibility to help to monitor and report on Safeguarding and Looked After Children.

I have lived in Redditch for 42 years and feel very much part of the community . Both my children enjoyed their Education at Trinity High School and my husband taught there for over 35 years.
I became a Governor at Trinity when I retired in 2017. Previously to that I was Assistant Headteacher at South Bromsgrove High School . In that role I had oversight of Special Educational Needs and a number of Faculty and Pastoral areas. I was also very involved with the House system and Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which was very rewarding.
For many years I was Director of Initial Teacher Training and worked with Universities and other local schools in this capacity. Working with those joining the Teaching Profession was something I valued very much .
I feel that my experience in Education and local knowledge will help me support Bordesley Multi Academy Trust moving forward.

I have worked in different sectors of education for over 40 years. I began a teaching career in a middle school in Redditch and later became headteacher of two first schools in the town.
My family have resided in and around Redditch for the whole of that time and my two sons attended schools currently in the Bordesley MAT.
After leaving headship I was employed by Worcestershire Local Authority in a school improvement advisory role. I moved on to become Schools’ Manager for the north of the county with a wide responsibility for the quality of education provided in schools. During that time, I liaised with many educational providers, regional DFE, HMI and Ofsted on behalf of schools.
In retirement I have the same enthusiasm for education and am delighted to be a Trustee for the Bordesley Trust. I am currently the chair of the Education and Standards committee.
